Nov 13: Singer Chetan Sapkota and popular comedian of Nepali silver screen Surbir
Pandit aka Dari Baje have lobbied for the candidates of Left-Democratic
Alliance (LDA) in Sindhupalchow.
Comedian Dari Baje
participated in the programmes of the election campaign in Sindhupalchowk
Constituency 1 and appealed to the voters to vote for LDA common candidate Madhav
Sapkota Subodh from Sindhupalchowk 1 for the member of the House of Representatives
(HoR). He also urged the people to vote for Masina Khadka for the provincial
assembly.
Dari Baje said that Subodh is
a young candidate who grew up in a revolutionary environment by being involved
in a revolution for the republic and inclusive democracy and also sustained
bullet injuries during that period.
He said Masina’s win will add
strength to the force of women’s rights and that she has the potential to work
for the people.
Dari Baje took part in the
election campaign programmes held at Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality.
Similarly, singer Chetan Sapkota sang songs in favour of LDA candidates to entertain the people in the programme.
The HoR election is slated for Nov 20 along with the provincial assembly member election and the ruling Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center) CPN (Unified Socialist) as well as Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) have come together and formed the LDA to compete in the poll.
