Kathmandu, Nov 12: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between Nepal Film Campus and the US-based New York Film Academy on film making and knowledge sharing.
Rector of Tribhuvan University (TU) Shivalal Bhusal attended the ceremony that was signed by Academy’s President Michael Young, Vice- President Jim Miller and Chief of Nepal Film Campus Shishir Upreti.
Campus Chief Upreti said, “The agreement was signed to enhance international access of students studying at Nepal Film Campus. A film is no more just a local product and consumption. We took this initiative with the purpose of making our students competitive with creativity and empowering them technically.”
Both the colleges will implement the student exchange programme from next year. It is said that the students of Nepal Film Campus shall get from partial to full scholarship for their master’s degree in New York Film Academy in the US. Likewise, students from the New York Film Academy could also visit Nepal for study purpose.(RSS)
