100 lab technicians to be awarded COVID-19 PCR Hero

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov.12: 100 lab technicians to be awarded COVID-19 PCR Hero.

In a press brief, organized by the Government Laboratory Professional’s Association of Nepal (GOLAN) on Saturday Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Chairperson of the GOLAN, said that 100 lab technicians will be awarded COVID-19 PCR Hero for their contribution during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said that working as a lab technician amid COVID-19 was very risky and they worked risking their lives. Therefore, this new initiative has been started in order to mark their efforts for public health and safety. 

One has to have worked at least six months in the public and public laboratory after the pandemic was announced in the country and needed to have a legal document proving that to be an eligible candidate and can apply in email: covid19perhero@gmail.com.
