Two injured in earthquake in Doti airlifted to Dhanagadhi for treatment

By Dil Bahadur Singh, Silgadhi, Nov. 9: Two women critically injured after their houses collapsed due to the earthquake at Gairagaun in Purbichauki Rural Municipality-3, Doti district, have been airlifted to Dhangadhi-based provincial hospital for treatment.

A Nepali Army helicopter was used to take them to the hospital as their treatment could not be done at Doti district hospital, Dhan Bahadur Nepali, Chairman of the district hospital.

Chandra Bohara, 42, and Bisna Bohara, 50, were taken to Seti Provincial hospital in Dhanagadhi.

Three others injured in the quake have been undergoing treatment at the district hospital.

Six people have been killed due to the earthquake which had its epicenter at Khaptad National Park.

Of the dead, four are children, according to the Doti district police office.

Those who died due to the quake are identified as Prem Bohara, 50, his daughter Tulasi Bohara, 14, Bhagavati Bohara, 40 and her 8-year-old son Harka Bohara and 13-year-old daughter Sita Bohara and 14-year-old Dhanasari Bohara.
