Kathmandu, Nov 8: The 44th meeting of the Training Directors’ Committee of the Public Finance Management Training Center has been completed.
The main purpose of this Center is to provide training to human resources (second-class officers) of the Nepal government working in public finance to improve skills, knowledge, and attitude.
The training center helps to conduct service entry training, and short-duration training and holds conferences on contemporary subjects, interactions and research.
The meeting has appraised, and evaluated the progress of the programs of the fiscal year 2021/22 and held a discussion on the training and programs which will be held in the current fiscal year.
On behalf of the Center, Head of the Training Shiva Lal Tiwari presented a progress appraisal and presented an action plan for the current fiscal year and members held discussions on it.
Financial Comptroller General Hari Prasad Mainali said that human resource working at local levels lacked proper training which ultimately affected finance management and suggested taking steps to conduct training for them.
Revenue secretary Rameshor Dangal said that there is a requirement for practical training from an experienced trainer and needs to facilitate all the resources required to make training effective.
Chair of Committee Krishna Hari Puskar appreciated the progress of the Public Finance Management Training Center and suggested running a conference on the contemporary subject, talk program, training related to digital economy/currency and memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the international training center.
