Addressing rallies in Karnali, Prachanda vows development after victory of left-democratic alliance

Simkot, Nov 8: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that candidates of the ruling alliance from Humla would get the chief ministerial and ministerial posts if they won the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and provincial assembly.   

Addressing an election assembly in Humla on Tuesday, the Maoist Centre Chair said ruling alliance's candidate for HoR Tshiring Damdul Lama would be appointed as the minister. 

Chair Prachanda said chances are there for Jeevan Bahadur Shahi of Humla constituency no. 1 (B) for becoming the chief minister of Karnali Province again. 

On the occasion, Prachanda claimed that the alliance would form its governments in all seven provinces and federal level. 

Also addressing the programme, Nepali Congress Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka promised to ensure road connectivity in Humla district. Hilsa of Humla district would be connected to the national road network and the coalition government would be formed for employment creation and development in Humla, he added. 

Earlier today, Prachanda addressed an election rally at Khalanga in Jumla and said that development of Karnali was his priority.

Saying that Marsi rice being produced in Jumla has gained massive popularity of late, Prachanda vowed to provide needed assistance for taking it to the international market.

"Apple and beans from here are equally popular. Special attention would be paid for its production growth, packaging and marketing," according to the Maoist Centre Chair.   

He was of the view that an academy was needed for the promotion and protection of Khas civilization of Sinja, Jumla.(RSS)
