Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has claimed that the victory of the ruling coalition in
the November 20 election is sure and that the government to be formed after the
election will give Karnali a top priority for development.
Addressing an election rally of the leftist-democratic alliance
here, the former Prime Minister pledged black topping as well as widening of
the roads in Karnali, and that the coalition government of the
leftist-democratic alliance to be formed after the election will give this task
a priority.
He viewed that Karnali was oppressed by the feudal state in the
past.
The Maoist Center Chair was of the view for establishing an
academy on Sinja as Sinja civilization was a pride of the country.
Development and preservation of Sinja civilization is important
for not only Jumla but also for Nepal, said Chairman Prachanda.
He said that the present ruling coalition was needed to save country
from darkness.
The November 20 election is important because the people have to
decide and vote whether to protect rights achieved through 70-year-long struggle
or lose it. And the ruling coalition for protecting the rights of the people
achieved after so long a struggle, he said.
The former Prime Minister remarked that CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma
Oli does not have ethical right to go to the people and ask for vote as he
failed to save a government of two-third majority, dissolved the parliament for
two times and split the party.
Leader Prachanda added that drinking water projects of million
rupees, conducive environment for producing doctors, exploring potentials of
fruits and agricultural products will be given due priority for the development
of Jumla. He presented Nepali Congress vice-President Purna Bahadur Thapa as
the witness to his saying.
He even referred to the way Jumla's Marsi rice gained market after
the news about his having the rice in one of his lunches. I am happy that the
rice has been popular.
Speaking on the occasion, NC vice-president Khadka said that the
ruling coalition was not only for widening and black topping of the Karnali
highway but also for safeguarding constitution and democracy, and expressed
confidence that the people will vote for saving existing political system.
