Solukhumbhu Trail Race considered to be longest in Nepal Begins

By Santosh Raut, Solukhumbhu, Oct 25: “Solukhumbhu Trail” also known as a logngest in Nepal been started.

It began from ward no. 8 of Solududhkunda Municipality located in Solukhumbhu elongated at the range of 310 km. In the 15 days duration trial, 30 foreigners and 4 Nepali mountaineers are participating. 

The trail will transcend through PK-Dudhkunda-Namche-Sagarmatha base camp  to end in Phaplu located in Solukhumbu under the leadership of Olympic winner Dachhiring Sherpa. 

Addressing the inauguration of ‘Solukhumbhu trail’ coordinator of the District Coordination Committee, Solukhumbu, Krishana Niraula said that the trail will help promote internal and external tourism. The trial is organized by the SMART World with the support of Dachhiring Sherpa Foundation and Nepal Parbat Aaharon.  

Chairperson of TSW Karma Sherpa said that Solukhumbhu trail will be important for tourism promotion and employment in Solu.

Leader of the trial and international mountaineer Dacchhiring Sherpa said that it will help to promote sports tourism. 

Chairperson Sherpa said that video documentaries of mountaineering in international channels help promote sports tourism.
