Through the efforts of the people, our country achieved federal democracy. Our epochal constitution, drafted and put into effect by a Constituent Assembly chosen by the people, has institutionalised the victory of the people's struggle. Despite this, many people hold the opinion that conspirators are working to overthrow our republicanism and federalism. As evidence of one of the threats to our constitution, former prime minister KP Sharma Oli dissolved the Lower House of federal parliament twice after losing the support of his own party members. Following this, five political parties came together to create a coalition in order to establish a new government and, more crucially, to thwart any attempts by forces hostile to our constitution to undermine this essential document.
The coalition, according to the leaders of the five parties, is for the defence of the constitution, stability, and prosperity by thwarting regressive influences. The country can only become strong via national unity, inclusion, and representation of all people, so it is also crucial that all people work together. Without a doubt, the five-party collaboration is headed in the correct direction to accomplish these objectives. The coalition of five parties, which has also formed political alliances to run in the parliamentary and provincial elections scheduled for November 20, hopes to win both contests in order to destroy "regressive forces" that attempt to undermine the nation's federalism and republicanism.
The five-party coalition that Prime Minister and President of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba presently heads is expected win the elections to protect republicanism, uphold peace and stability, bring about prosperity, and strengthen national unity. The alliance must be strengthened and all coalition members must dispel any mistrust or suspicion in order to accomplish these aims. Another important coalition figure, chairman of the CPN-Maoist Centre Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, thinks that the current alliance is a bulwark against anti-republican forces, while Madhav Kumar Nepal believes that the current coalition is necessary for peace, stability, and development in order to defeat regressive forces.
It is a fact that after much effort on the part of the coalition's five main parties and many others, the alliance was established for a broader goal. The coalition's founders denied that the pact was created only with the intention of taking control of power. In order to ensure that the candidates win in accordance with the alliance's agreement, they asked all party leaders and members to work hard. The alliance's chances of winning the election shouldn't be undermined by anyone.
Given the political climate at the moment, many believe that the five-party alliance will prevail in the elections because of their advantage over the opposition due to their large national vote bases. No party is anticipated to win a majority, giving the alliance a stronger chance to create a new administration. But the five-party leaders shouldn't get carried away by their accomplishment. They are now saying that the partnership should last for the next 20 years. They must follow through on the pledges and commitments they make. The alliance's sole objective must be to provide the nation a new direction, not to maintain power, in order to achieve stability, peace, and development outcomes. The previous Oli-led administration had utterly failed to achieve this, and the new alliance government must be careful not to make the same error.
