Police Club defeats Lumbini province, large crowd gathers to see women’s volleyball match

A crowd of people gathers to see the women’s volleyball match between the Nepal police club and Lumbini Province.

By Amrit Prasad Paudel, Myagdi, Oct. 14: Nepal Police Club has defeated the Lumbini Province team in the women’s volleyball in the fourth match held on Friday under the Ninth National Games-2022.

 

In the match held at Khulamanch Playground in Beni, the police club defeated the province team in a straight set of 25-10, 25-11 and 25-9.

 

A large crowd of people gathered to see the match between the police club and Lumbini Province as the police club was under the captainship of Kamala Pun, a resident of Rum in Malika Rural Municipality of Myagdi.

 

Pun has risen to national glory starting as a player at the local level games.

 

Similarly, another departmental team, Armed Police Force defeated the Karnali Province team in the first match of the women’s volleyball while in the second match, Bagmati Province defeated Province 1.

 

Played as the inaugural match of the women’s volleyball of the Ninth National Games, Gandaki Province, the organizing province, defeated the Sudurpaschim Province team.

 

Ten teams from four different groups are competing for the medals in women’s volleyball.
