Deuba has relieved ministers from Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) from their
posts.
PM Deuba ousted the JSP ministers from the Council of
Ministers after the JSP formed an electoral alliance with the main opposition
CPN (UML).
The PM relieved the ministers from the post in accordance
with Article 77 (2, B) of the Constitution.
The responsibilities of the ousted ministers will be
looked after by Prime Minister Deuba as per the changes made by President Bidya
Devi Bhandari upon the PM’s recommendation.
The responsibility
of the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Govind Prasad Sharma
(Koirala) will be looked after by Minister for Communication and Information
Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, according to the statement of the office of
the President.
Minister
Sharma’s 6-month tenure ended as he was not a member of the federal parliament.
