Qatar Charity Nepal has donated a hundred pieces of tarpaulin for the flood
victims in Banke and Baridya.
Irshad Sheikh, chief of Qatar
Charity Nepal, said that 100 pieces of big size tarpaulin were provided to
those displaced by the floods as they were having difficulty in making a
shelter.
The sheltering materials were
provided to the flood victims through the district disaster management
committees of the two district.
Sheikh said more assistance will be
provided to the victims as per the need.
The tarpaulins were handed over to
Banke CDO Surya Bahadur Khatri and Bardiya CDO Bandhu Prasad Bastola.
Banke CDO Khatri informed that the
shelter making material will be dispatched to the places where they are need
most.
Due
to floods caused by incessant rainfall for over a week, over 6,000 people have
been displaced in Banke alone.
