By Shaligram Nepal, Chitwan, Oct. 4: Chitwan district leaders of the five party
ruling alliance has urged CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal
'Prachanda' to contest in the election for House of Representatives (HoR) from
a constituency in the district.
Holding a joint meeting and issuing a joint appeal on Tuesday,
the leaders of ruling alliance appealed to former Prime Minister Prachanda to
not opt for other district for competing in the HoR election.
They urged Chairman Prachanda to also take guardianship of
the district for its development.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of Nepali Congress
district president Rajeshwar Khanal also suggested that it would not be
relevant to change electoral constituency by a senior leader of the ruling
alliance.
There has been rumour that leader Prachanda is considering
to contest in the poll slated for November 20 from Constituency 2 of Gorkha
district as contesting from Chitwan was going to be uneasy.
Present in the meeting were district coordinator o CPN
(Maoist Center) Ram Chandra Adhikari, CPN (Unified Socialist) district
vice-chair Krishna Raj Neupane, Rastriya Janamorcha leader Bishnu Paudel and
Janata Samajwadi Party district leader Prem Bhujel in addition to NC district
chief Khanal.
