Beni, Aug 26 : Sujan KC, a migrant worker, has manufactured a four-wheeler powered by a battery in South Korea.  KC of ward No. 6 of Beni Municipality in Myagdi district has been working as a driver in South Korea for the past six years.

“I had to repair my vehicle myself. I got struck by an idea regarding manufacturing a vehicle on my own. I wanted to see for myself and started the process,” said KC. According to KC, it took him more than five months to make the vehicle.

The four-wheeler has two engines and it can be driven 40-50 kilometers after charging its four batteries for three-four hours.  Similarly, KC said that the vehicle can carry goods weighing up to 500 kilograms on its backside.

“The vehicle has started to run properly. I tried five times in total.

The vehicle is yet to be equipped with an outer body now,” said KC.

KC stated that he would be delighted to return to Nepal and continue manufacturing electric vehicles if he found a suitable environment.

His friends in South Korea and well-wishers from Nepal have applauded him for his success.
