BY TRIBHUVAN CHANDRA WAGLE, Kathmandu, Aug 19: The first international edition of Kalinga Sahitya Mahotsav (Literary Festivals), a prestigious literary institution in India, is going to be held in Kathmandu on October 15-16.
According to the chairman of Rastrika Sahitya Pratisthan Rhishav Dev Ghimire, the festival will be held in a joint collaboration with Rastrika Sahitya Pratisthan and Nepal’s online magazine Himalayan Diary.
Prominent litterateurs, cultural experts, authors, and thinkers from Nepal and India will participate in the two-day Mahotsav.
Chairman of Rastrika Sahitya Pratisthan Ghimire said that more than 100 prominent personalities, including the former ambassador of India to Nepal Ranjit Ray, would be present in the festival.
Similarly, a prominent writer and culture expert Satya Mohan Joshi, vice chancellor of Nepal Academy Dr. Jag Man Gurung will also participate in the festival.
The main topic of the discussion at the festival is ‘Art, Culture and Literature of Nepal’.
The festival is expected to further strengthen literary, cultural, art, and socio-religious activities between Nepal and India.
