Five killed, six injured in Darchula jeep accident

By Lokendra Prasad Joshi, Darchula, Aug. 17: At least five people have been killed while six others have been injured in a jeep accident at Ullani in Shailyashikar Municipality-6 of Darchula.

The jeep was heading to the district headquarters of Khalanga from Gokuleshor.

According to the district police office, the ill-fated jeep with registration number Se 1 Ja 551 veered off the road some 250 meters down.

The injured have been taken to the Gokuleshor hospital for treatment.

Police personnel from the Malika Arjun Police post and the locals have been involved in the rescue operation.

A team of police from the Gokuleshor Area Police Office has already headed to the accident site for the rescue operation.
