Bamdev Gautam to contest under Maoist Centre's election symbol

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 16: Ruling coalition partner CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Standing Committee meeting has accepted the proposal of Bamdev Gautam to contest the Nov 20 election jointly under the MC's election symbol.

Earlier, Dr. Baburam Bhattarai had agreed to contest the poll under the MC election symbol, hammer, and sickle inside the circle.

Party spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara said that the meeting held in Parisdanda on Tuesday morning approved the proposal for jointly contesting the election of the Nepal Samajwadi Party led by Bhattarai and the CPN-Unity National Campaign led by Bamdev Gautam.
