Kathmandu, Aug. 9: The CPN (UML) has been registered in the Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday for the purpose of upcoming elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and Province Assembly.
UML leaders and cadres visited the EC Office at Jamal in Kathmandu to submit the party's application for the registration purpose.
Talking briefly to the media after the registration, CPN (UML) general secretary Shankar Pokharel said his party was not for forging an electoral alliance without a purpose.
After the announcement of the election for November 20, the EC has called for application from the political parties to register for the elections being held in a single phase. (RSS)
