Four writers receive literary awards

By Our Correspondent Hetauda, June 9:  On the occasion of Gopal Prasad Rimal’s birth anniversary, Sahitya Sangam Makwanpur has honoured four literary writers.

In the programme held in Hetauda on Sunday, Shyam Prasad Sharma Memorial Award -2078 was given to Nawaraj Sharma Timilsina.  Literary writer and journalist Timilsina was presented a prize of Rs. 15,555.

Similarly, Shanti Devi Smriti Banaskhandi Sahitya Samman -2077 has been awarded to Shree Om Shrestha Rodan while Shanti Devi Smriti Banaskhandi Sahitya Samman -2078 was given to Shanti Priya Bandana.

The prize carries a purse of Rs. 10,000. 

Likewise, Gopal Prasad Rimal Smriti Samman- 2078 was given to Avinash Shrestha. The prize carries a purse of Rs. 20,000.   In the programme chaired by Sahitya Sangam Makwanpur chairperson Anita Neupane, senior writer Nagendra Raj Sharma honoured short story writer and poet Shree Om Shrestha (Rodan) and Priya Bandana.
