By A Staff Reporter  Kathmandu, May 28: Actress Karishma Manandhar has said that she has been interested in cosmetics since childhood.

She said she would never compromise on quality of cosmetic products.

Actress Manandhar made this statement while unveiling 21 different products related to the skin of Japanese international beauty cosmetic DHC during a ceremony held in Kathmandu on Thursday.

Actress Karishma expressed happiness that the products, which are used by Hollywood actors with importance and won the award in Japan, have entered Nepal.

“In the past, use of makeup and cosmetic products was rare and later I found out that I should use appropriate makeup according to my skin type. In my early days, I didn’t know much about cosmetic products and skin care, but I always used coconut oil, which I still use,” she responded to questions of media persons.

She further added, “I don’t do facials, I usually apply yogurt, honey and coconut oil on my skin.” Likewise, actress Benisha Hamal said that as an actress she has been very conscious about the beauty and health of her skin.

Hamal said, “Makeup is very important to protect the skin because we are always in contact with the sun and being an actress we also require regular makeup.” She also suggested that everyone should be careful to remove make-up at night.

She also emphasised that many people do not know about skin types because people generally understand that they are normal, dry or combination skin types.

She suggested consulting a dermatologist to find out the skin types. Actress Hamal advised to use appropriate cosmetic products according to skin types.

Model Usha Upreti said that beauty products are very important for the beauty of women.

Sujan Neupan, Managing Director of Himachal Trading, a company that is importing DHC products to Nepal, said that 21 DHC related products have been imported from Japan.
