Indian climber dies on Mount Kanchenjunga

By Chhetu Sherpa, Kathmandu, May 6: An Indian climber has died while climbing the world's third-highest mountain, Kanchenjunga.

Narayan Aiyer, a 52-year-old climber from Maharashtra, India, who reached the summit on Thursday night, died near 8,200 meters, said Pasang Sherpa, head of Pioneer Adventure Trek.

Sherpa has informed that the climber died due to high altitude sickness when his guide tried to return to the base camp but he refused to return after he lost his physical strength while reaching the peak.
