Poll campaign up in Mangalsen


By Our Correspondent Mangalsen, May 5: Candidates who have registered their nominations in the local level elections have started reaching the farms in the villages asking for votes. Candidates have intensified their election campaign by urging people to vote for them.

Local level candidates have been reaching out to voters at their workplaces asking for votes. According to Amrita Bhandari of Mangalsen Municipality-6, candidates have been approaching voters at the fields and workplaces urging them to make themselves and their team victorious. They have been asking for votes from morning till night saying that development, employment and prosperity can be achieved only by making them victorious.  The candidates have visited people harvesting wheat, sloughing and digging fields, fetching water, staying at house and cooking. They have urged for the votes saying that if they win, they will facilitate development, employment, agriculture, education health and end social violence. Likewise, candidates have been informing voters about their plans to increase old age allowance, supply drinking water to households, irrigation facilities and road infrastructure. 

All the candidates of ten local level chiefs/chairpersons, deputy chiefs/vice-chairpersons, ward chairpersons and ward members have intensified their election campaign carrying party flags and commitment letters. Candidates and local leaders of their parties are found asking for votes dancing, playing deuda and saluting. Leaders of CPN (UML), Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist) from central to district level have been deployed at their respective local levels.
