Gulmi district security committee intensifies inspection of polling stations, centers

By Tilachan Pande, Tamghas, May 1: The district security committee for the local level election slated for May 13 in Gulmi district has intensified inspection of the polling stations and the vote count centers.

A team led by Chief District Officer (CDO) Punya Bikram Paudel reached different places on Sunday including Kaligandaki and Satyavati Rural Municipalities to inspect the security situation for the poll.

Assistant CDO Hari Prasad Gaire informed that the district security committee has completed inspection of all polling and voting count centers in the district.



The Committee has concluded that of the total, 15 polling stations are highly sensitive, 41 sensitive and 86 normal in the district.

Gulmi CDO Paudel said that extra security arrangement has been made in the highly sensitive polling stations and that the district administration has made all necessary arrangement for holding the local poll in a fair, free and impartial manner.

There are 142 polling stations and 279 polling centers in the districts.
