899 climbers reach base camps to climb 25 mountains

Kathmandu, May 1: A total of 899 climbers have reached the base camps with permission to climb the top 25 mountains of Nepal.

This month alone, 899 climbers, including 195 women and 704 men from 74 countries, have taken permission to climb the mountain, said Mohan Bahadur GC, spokesperson of the Department of Tourism.

According to the department, the highest number of climbers coming to Nepal this month is 133 from the USA, followed by 106 from the UK, 60 from India and 56 from France.
