9th National Games: Preparation for player selection begins

Gandaki, April 30 (RSS): Preparation has begun for the 9th National Games which is scheduled to take place in Gandaki province on May first week.

Gandaki Province, the host province, has intensified the necessary preparation for the games.

With the national game date coming near, Gandaki Province Sports Council has directed all 11 districts to initiate the process of selecting players.

Member-Secretary of Province Sports Council Tej Bahadur Gurung shared that information was imparted to the district sports bodies to begin the player selection process in the first phase.

The province team would be prepared after the completion of the selection of the players in the district, he informed.

The province-level selection games would be held following the final selection of players at the district level. The closed-door training session would be conducted for those selected, according to the Council.

"We have issued circular to all 11 district sports committees in the province, A team of the host province would be prepared after selection of players in district and province rounds", he shared.

It may be noted that the Council had decided to include 36 games in the 9th National Games.
