Nationwide Vitamin A, deworming tablets campaign on Tuesday and Wednesday
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr.18: The government is administering Vitamin A capsules and deworming tablets to children under the national Vitamin A campaign from Tuesday.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Vitamin,
A capsules will be given to children between six months to five years while
deworming tablets will be administered to children from one year to five years
in the two-day-long nationwide campaign starting on Tuesday.
Vitamin A is being given since 1997 and deworming tablets is being administered nationwide since 2001 to reduce the risk of health complications and malnutrition in children.
