Kathmandu, April 18: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that the ruling parties are close to an agreement on electoral coordination among them with regard to metropolitan cities and sub-metropolitan cities.
He told a press conference at the party office in Paris Danda that the ruling coalition could make such an agreement by this evening.
"We are making efforts to forge an understanding
among the ruling coalition for all six metropolitan cities and 11 sub-metropolitan cities.
Agreement on the metropolitan city has reached a conclusion point," said
Chairman Prachanda, adding, " I hope we will reach a conclusion on
electoral alliance for metropolis and sub-metropolis among the ruling parties
by this evening."
The former Prime Minister affirmed
that the local level election will not postpone for any excuse.
"I would like to assure all the
voters that the local level election will be held on May 13 and I would also
like to appeal to them to stay prepared for the election and help it and
contribute to make it a grand success," said Chairman Prachanda,
