Fire at Itahari's Centre Plaza brought under control
The fire that broke out at Centre Plaza in Itahari has been brought under control. The fire, which started at 9.30 am today, was brought under control in about six hours. Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Sunsari, Deputy Superintendent of Police Yograj Khatiwada said that 12 fire engines of different local levels and around 300 personnel of Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force and Nepali Army were mobilized to douse the fire.

Itahari Centre Plaza inferno update: 11 people rescued
Eleven people trapped in the inferno at the Centre Plaza mall at the main square of Itahari city have been rescued. Among those rescued are three women and eight men, said Chief of the Koshi Province Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Rajan Adhikari.
