At least 60 lives lost as flash floods wreak havoc in Pakistan
At least 60 people died and 16 were injured as flash floods battered various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said on Friday. Since late June, monsoon rains have wreaked havoc across the country — especially KP and northern regions — by triggering deadly floods, landslides and displacement, particularly in vulnerable, poorly drained, or densely populated areas.

Jammu & Kashmir flash floods: At least 46 dead, over 100 injured
At least 46 people, most of them pilgrims, were killed in flash floods on the Machail Mata Yatra route at Chasoti village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district in India on Thursday afternoon, reported PTI, citing officials. They added that over 160 people have been rescued so far. More than 100 people are injured, deputy commissioner Pankaj Kumar Sharma told HT. Rescue teams fear the toll could rise as several people remain missing.
