The Communication Minister, also the Nepali Congress leader, reached the office of the chief election officer in Inaruwa to register his candidacy for the poll slated for November 20.
His nomination was proposed by leader of the party Shambhu Saha and seconded by communist leader Bhikhari Prasad Yadav, according to the Office of the Chief Returning Officer.
The bills presented to the President by both Houses of parliament were certified as per Article 113 (2) of Constitution of Nepal, according to President's Office.
The registration that began at 10:00 am continued till 5:00 pm by the candidates in the respective EC offices including the Office of the Chief Returning Offices and Office of the Election Offices in all 77 districts across the country.
