Potters busy making clay pots for coming Chaurchan
Chaurchan, celebrated on the fourth day (Chaturthi) of the Nepali month of Bhadra, is observed by people in the Terai region by offering rice pudding, bread, yoghurt, fruits and other food items to the moon in earthen pots. Because of its association with the moon, the festival is also called Chauth Chandra.
Govt has stock of food grains for three months
In Tuesday meeting of the Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumers Interest Committee under the House of Representatives, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, Madhu Kumar Marasini, said the government has the stock of 170,802 quintals of food grains.
