3-year-old girl dies after snake bite, sister on ventilator in Kapilvastu
Two sisters suffered from a snake bite, the youngest lost her life while the eldest is in lifesaving treatment at Kapilvastu district. A three-year-old Rita Chhetri and eight-year-old Ishika Chhetri from Bhalwad, Banganga Municipality-9, Kapilvastu were bitten by the snake on Tuesday night.
Traffic restored on Prithvi Highway
Traffic has resumed along the Prithvi Highway that remained obstructed following the death of two school students after being hit by a truck at Majuwa of Malekhu this morning. Nirmal Shrestha and Sanjiv Shrestha of Siddhalek rural municipality-6 were killed in the accident, and the irate locals blocked the highway.
Yaks injured after suspension bridge collapse in Taplejung
Dozens of Yaks were injured when a suspension bridge over a Ghunsa river collapsed at Lelep, Phaktanglung Rural Municipality-6, Taplejung district. The iron bridge over the Ghunsa River fell to bits thereby injuring dozens of Yaks that were returning through the bridge after grazing.
