By Deepak Prasad Gautam, Parsa, march 7: The vote counting for the direct election of the House of Representatives from Parsa Constituency-1 concluded on Saturday morning.
Buddhi Bahadur Pant of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP)
defeated Pradeep Yadav of the CPN-UML by a margin of 14,244 votes, securing a
decisive victory. Pant received 27,274 votes, while Yadav obtained 13,030
votes.
According to Chief Election Officer Gayatri Prasad Regmi of
Parsa, Anil Kumar Rugunta of the Nepali Congress came in third with 11,885
votes.
Pant’s victory reflects a wide margin, making him the clear
winner from Parsa-1. (RSS)
