One dead, eight injured in Kanchanpur road mishap

By Bhawani Datta Bhatta, Kanchanpur, Oct.2: A girl died and eight others have been sustained injuries when a jeep met with an accident in Kanchanpur.

A two-year-old girl died and eight others sustained injuries when a Bolero jeep (Se 1 Ja 417) en route from heading from Daiji to Jogbuda met with an accident at Bedkot Municipality-3 Siudi Bagh under Daiji Jogbudha road section of Kanchanpur.

According to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, the jeep lost control and veered off about 20 meters off the road on the Daiji Jogbuda road section.

Yubika Pal, the two-year-old daughter of Tara Pal, a local of Bedkot Municipality-4, died while undergoing treatment at Mahakali Provincial Hospital after being involved in a jeep accident.

DSP Sagar Bohora of the District Police Office Kanchanpur said that the injured are being treated at Mahakali Provincial Hospital.

According to the police, a search is underway for the absconding jeep driver.
