Donations of around Rs. 1 million collected at Pathibhara

By Our Correspondent,Taplejung, Sept. 18: In the months of August/September (Bhadra), donations totaling around Rs. 1 million were collected at the famous pilgrimage site of Pathibhara (Mukkumlung) in Taplejung.

According to the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, this amount was collected over the course of one month, during Bhadra.

Pathibhara Area Development Committee Executive Director Prajin Hangbang stated that a total of Rs. 997,000 was received as offerings in Bhadra.

The committee collects donations from devotees visiting Pathibhara and makes the total contributions public. The amount collected for Bhadra was announced on Tuesday evening.

The committee has been regularly publishing the monthly donation totals at Pathibhara.

Previously, Rs. 1,039,000 was collected in the month of Shrawan. The committee reported that 4,503 devotees visited Pathibhara during Bhadra.

The committee also noted that devotees from various districts of Nepal as well as neighboring regions of India such as Sikkim, Darjeeling, and West Bengal visit Pathibhara.
