Dhadkan leads new committe

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 11: The new committee of the Kathmandu District Branch of the Global Nepali Literature Federation was formed in the capital on Saturday.

In the newly formed branch, Janardan Adhikari Dhadkan has been elected as Chairperson; Sudha Baskota Dhakal as Senior Vice-Chairperson; Chuda Nirbhik as Vice-Chairperson; Pawan Budhathoki as General Secretary; Tilak Gaule as Secretary; Sita Pandey as Treasurer; and Deepak Bhetwal as Joint Secretary.

The members of the branch include Sabita Khatri, Ramraja KC, Rita Khatiwada, Sarala Timilsina, Sita Ghimire, Ganga Bhetwal, Chandrakala Ghimire, Kanchana Jha, Suresh Chandra Ghimire, Krishna Bajgain, Durga Rimal Adhikari, Binubaba Ghimire, Harish Chandra Gautam, Prem Krishna Shrestha, and LP Parajuli.

Maniraj Singh, Dr. Bishnuhari Nepal, Dr. Hemnath Poudel, Dr. Sabitri Shrestha, Dr. Lekh Prasad Niraula, Jaleshwari Shrestha, Bishwabimohan Shrestha, Sneh Sayami, Narendra Raj Poudel, Dr. Biplav Dhakal, Dr. Bambahadur Jitali, Dr. Padma Aryal, and Rabindra Ashish Shaili will serve as the advisors for the branch.

On the same occasion, a welcome and felicitation programme was held for the newly appointed officials of the World Nepali Literature Federation which was formed under the chairmanship of Maniraj Singh recently. 

Chaired by Maniraj Singh, President of the Nepal Chapter of the Federation, the event featured  best wishes to the newly elected Kathmandu branch from poet Shailendra Sakar, Govindman Singh Karki, Dr. Sabitri Shrestha, Ganga Subedi, Anchu Subedi, Dr. Ram Dayal Rakesh, Dr. Lekhnath Kafle, Bijay Hitan, Sunita Rai Kandangwa, Prem Rai Parikshit, Rabindra Ashish Shaili  and Toyanath Subedi.

President Singh of the Nepal Chapter and Chairperson 'Dhadkan' of the Kathmandu branch also shed light on the plans for upcoming programmes.
