Nepathya performs in London

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 12: Nepathya performed at London’s world-renowned Wembley Arena to a packed audience of 10,000 people.

According to a press statement issued by Nepalaya, before the concert began, the song ‘Sa Karnali’ was played in the opening music video, accompanied by scenic visuals of Nepal.

The concert opened with ‘Koshiko Pani,’ followed by their hit song ‘Aanganai Bhari.’

During the concert, Amrit didn’t just sing, he also shared stories behind the songs, encouraged the preservation of the Nepali language and culture, spoke of Nepal’s glory, and urged young Nepalis living abroad to remain connected to their homeland.

The final song of the concert was ‘Rato Ra Chandra Surya.’

On stage with singer Gurung were Dhruva Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Neeraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal, and Dineshraj Regmi on keyboards.

“The plan to have Nepathya perform at the world-famous Wembley was successfully set in motion as a milestone 12 years ago,” said Kiran Krishna Shrestha of Nepalaya, who manages the band.

“For the 10,000 people in attendance, tonight was a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said organiser Dipendra Lama.

Following their performance at Wembley, Nepathya will embark on a series of shows across Europe.

They will perform in Copenhagen, Denmark, on August 23, Attard, Malta, on August 27, Lisbon, Portugal, on August 3, and finally in Antwerp, Belgium, on September 3, concluding the tour.
