Nepathya set for Europe musical tour

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 25: The folk-rock band Nepathya is all set to embark on a series of musical performances across Europe next month. The band will perform concerts in the UK, Denmark, Malta, Portugal, and Belgium.

The tour will kick off with their first performance on August 9 at Wembley Stadium, London. Following that, on August 23, the band will perform in the Danish capital, Copenhagen. 

This will be Nepathya’s second performance in Copenhagen, the first being in 2016.

After Denmark, the band will head to Attard, Malta, where they will perform at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre (MFCC) on August 27. Attard is located in the northern region of the country.

Next, the band will travel to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, where they will perform at Lisboa ao Vivo on August 31.

The final stop of the European tour will be in Antwerp, Belgium, where the concert is scheduled to take place at Studio Seven of AED Studios on September 3. This will also mark Nepathya’s second performance in Antwerp, the previous one being at the Arenberg Theatre in 2005.

Nepathya last toured Europe in 2016, performing in Hamburg, Germany, and Copenhagen, Denmark. 

According to local organisers, the response from the audience has been overwhelmingly positive, with tickets for some shows already selling out.

Nepathya has consistently performed in major global cities, especially where there is a significant Nepali student population. 

For this tour, a 14-member team comprising the manager, technicians, and artists will be travelling to Europe. 

On stage, lead vocalist and frontman Amrit Gurung will be accompanied by Dhruva Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Neeraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal (a traditional drum), and Dinesh Raj Regmi on keyboard.
