SEBON Chair vows fair capital market

Kathmandu, Dec 11: Newly appointed Chairman of the Security Board of Nepal (SEBON), Santosh Narayan Shrestha, vowed development of fair and transparent capital market.     

During a programme organized by the Economic Media Society Nepal here Wednesday, Chairman Shrestha, said he would work in cooperation will all sides concerned so that investors' morale would not be let down.     

"Current capital market needs expansion where stakeholders' role is also equally significant. For this to happen, SEBON is ready to cooperate," Shrestha opined.     

On the occasion, newly elected Chairman of the Stock Broker Association of Nepal, Sagar Dhakal, also seconded SEBON Chair that collaboration and coordination were utmost need for developing capital market, which contributes to creating employments and economic development.     

Chairman of Merchant Bankers' Association of Nepal, Ramendra Rayamajhi, observed that Nepal's capital market was gradually thriving, so the new leadership at SEBON should work for a stride.     

Moreover, Chairman of Economic Media Society Nepal, Ram Raja Shrestha, viewed collaboration between media and stakeholders help spur economic activities.(RSS)
