By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec 10: CPN (Revolutionary) has elected Mohan
Baidhya 'Kiran' to the post of General Secretary of the party unanimously.
The party's
general convention held in Kathmandu from November 28 to December 8 elected
Baidhya unanimously.
The party
held a press meet today to make public the decision of the convention. As per
the information, the party decided to adopt organizational structure of general
secretary as the top, to have 117 central committee members and 95 alternative
CC member along with central council.
Speaking at
the press meet, party's leader CP Gajurel said his party welcomes the BRI as
Nepal will be able to get much economic benefits from it and that there was no
point in Nepali Congress focus on taking only the grants for the BRI Projects.
The party will focus on nationality, people's
democracy and livelihood and raise related issues through party's independent
initiative, working unity and joint fronts with other parties to move forward
work of class struggle.
