NC's Dangol elected mayor of Kritipur Municipality
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 2: Nepali Congress candidate Krishna Man Dangol has been elected the mayor of Kritipur municipality with 5,334 votes defeating his closest rival Prof. Dr. Shiva Sharan Maharjan of CPN (Maoist Center) who secured 4,555 votes.
According to the Election Commission, CPN (UML) candidate Surendra Manandhar got 4337 votes and stood third.
The by-election was held in the municipality as mayor Raj Kumar Nakarmi who had won from NC died in July.
