Maoist Center's Rana Magar wins Gorkha-5
Gorkha, Dec.2: Bishnu Bahadur Rana Magar of CPN (Maoist Center) has won the by-election held for the post of Deputy Mayor of Gorkha Municipality-5 of Gorkha.
According to said Chief Electoral Officer Shiv Bahadur Ranabhat, Rana Magar secured 486 votes while her nearest rival Nepali Congress candidate Bhai Kaji Aale got 402 votes. Likewise, the candidate of CPN (UML) Durga Maya Rana Thapa got 345 votes.
Meanwhile, 1,373 votes were cast by a total of 2,225 voters of the ward.
