By-election: Maoist Centre's Lamichhane sweeps deputy mayor of Nalgad Municipality

By Bashu Dev Sharma, Jajarkot, Dec.2: Devaka Lamichhane of CPN (Maoist Center) has won the by-election held for the post of Deputy Mayor of Nalgad Municipality of Jajarkot.
According to Chief Election office, Lamichhane secured 4,272 votes while her nearest rival Nepali Congress candidate Indra Chand Singh got 3,147 votes. Meanwhile, CPN (UML) candidate Sunita Bohara secured 2,552 votes.
