Government completes 100 days in office

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Oct. 22: The present government led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is completing its 100 days in office on Tuesday. 

Appointed on July 14, Prime Minister Oli assumed office on July 15 after taking the oath of office and secrecy and forming a 22-member Council of Ministers. 

It is a coalition government of the two big parties—Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML—of the House of Representatives and is backed by smaller parties. 

On July 21, Prime Minister Oli won the vote of confidence by garnering 188 votes which is a two-thirds majority of the 275-member House of Representatives. 

On August 2, Prime Minister Oli inducted three state ministers and gave full shape to the present cabinet.
