By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct1: The airline companies have agreed not to sell tickets at the government-imposed higher tariffs until the roadway resumes following the directive by the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey.
As per the directives of Minister Pandey, the Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN), will strictly implement the press release issued on September 29 and will not sell tickets at high fares until the road network goes operational.
Air companies, which agreed to sell tickets at low fares for three days only, now sell tickets at low fares until the road transport is fully operational.
Issuing the press release AOAN instructed not to sell air tickets at the highest fares charged by the government until roadways destroyed by the disaster triggered by the incessant downpours of September 28 and 29 get operational.
The government has set a price limit for domestic airline tickets.
The air companies had agreed to reduce the airfare on the instructions of Minister Pandey on September 29.
