Valley police plan festive-focused security

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept.27: The District Police Range Kathmandu has made a plan in line with ensuring safety during festivals public.

Organizing a press conference on Friday, a plan was made public by the Valley Police.  

According to the Police, security will be tightened in areas such as local residents, places where financial transactions take place, bus parks where many vehicles leave for many destinations, vacant houses, government offices, and crowded marketplaces. Likewise, it is mentioned that there will be a presence of security personnel in areas such as ATM booths, Khasi bazaar (goat market), jewelry shops, religious places, temples, bus ticket counters, bus parks, and bus pockets.  

In the press conference, Senior Superintendent of Police Basant Rajoure said that the police are well-prepared to provide security in all places where security is required. He said that the police will protect people and properties.

He said that protection will be provided in the religious temples and pilgrimages. He informed that banks and financial institutions which are more crowded will be patrolled by police and provide security.

Similarly, he said that the police are aware of the management of tickets and will make it easy and at reasonable prices. Police will also assist in the availability of sufficient vehicles and smooth traffic operations.
