By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 11: Tribhuvan Army Club scored the first goal in the sixth minute against Sudurpashchim in the final match of Round 3 at ANFA Complex in Satdobato, Lalitpur, on Tuesday. And after that, the goals did not stop, they were raining. By the end, the score was 14-1 in favour of Army.

Dipa Shahi, with five goals, was the highest scorer for Army and was followed by two goals from Anita Lamjel. While one goal was an own-goal from Sudur’s Shanti BK, Army’s Chandra Bhandari, Bimala BKm Bimala Chaudhary, Hima Chaudhary, Sanju Kumal and Sabitri Devi Magar scored one each.

Dipa completed her hat-trick within the first half (24th, 30th and 45+) and made it five after adding two more in the 53rd and 61st minutes. She was the player of the match. Nevertheless, despite dominating the match thoroughly, Army could not keep a clean sheet. However, the only goal for Sudur was an own goal from Army; Nilam Shrestha’s mistake led to the own goal in the 67th minute.

It was the maximum number of goals in a match scored by a team this season. Army’s 14 goals is followed by Nepal Police’s 9. Moreover, it was Sudur who conceded nine goals against Police in Round 2 on September 6. Similarly, APF has scored six goals past Chandrapur on Monday. Police and APF had clean sheets in the high scoring matches. With the win, Army now has six points in three matches while Sudurpashchim has lost all three matches since the beginning. Thus, Army is at fourth position in the table and Sudur is at last.

Koshi Province continues to top the table since the start of the season. With three wins in three matches, the only team to do so this season, Koshi has nine points. APF and Nepal Police follow Koshi with seven points each.

Round 4 of the League starts on September 11 with two matches: Koshi vs Nepal Police and Karnali vs Sankata.
