Leaky roofs in school send students to playground for class

blog

Simkot (Humla), Sept 8: The incessant rainfall forced the students of the Bal Mandir Secondary School in the district headquarters of Humla out to a playground for the class on Sunday.

Principal Kailash Rokaya said the school had no option but to take the students of Grade 1, 3 and 5 out to open sky on Sunday after the classrooms were inundated due to leaky roofs. The classrooms were inundated after heavy rainfall occurred since Saturday night.

The school administration complained that it was a recurring problem every year. Rokaya shared the plight that they had repeatedly drawn the attention of the local governments to resolve the pressing problem, but in vain.(RSS)
