PAC forms panel to study complaints

Kathmandu, July 16: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the House of Representatives (HoR) has formed a five-member sub-committee under the leadership of its chair Rishikesh Pokharel to submit a proposal along with the decisions after the study and probe of the complaints received at the PAC.     

Rajendra Kumar KC, Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai, Amanlal Modi and Manish Jha are the members of the sub-committee.     

It is said that 66 complaints have been received in the PAC since the beginning of the tenure of the incumbent committee.     

Of the complaints, TERAMOX technology, Lumbini Development Trust, the share sale of Ncell, premium share issue of the Rastriya Beema Company and others are under discussion.     

The PAC stated that responses have been sought from ministries and agencies on other complaints.     

The meeting of the PAC on Tuesday decided to conduct an interaction with the chairs of PACs from all seven provinces, the Auditor General and representatives from the stakeholders to make a common understanding on arrears.(RSS)
