The Old Man And The Cave

blog

There was a cave about 65,000 years ago. In this cave lived humans and an old man who used to help his family. He had children and his wife. He also had grandchildren.

When he died, his family buried him inside the cave. They dug with their tools made of stone and wood. His wife and children were sad.

The people went to gather flowers. They put the flowers on the soil where they buried the old man. Everybody in the cave cared for each other.

They cared for old people and kids. They rubbed sticks to make fire. They put hands on the cave walls and they made drawings. They hunted animals and ate. They got skin and then made clothes and blankets.

This is a real story about humans. We went to the Museum of Natural History in Washington DC and saw their bones, casts, artwork, and weapons. Now we need to learn from them about how to care for each other and not hurt each other.
